Ever sence the last update of EMIII (3.2.0) the information has not been displayed correctly for me. It will display the protein name and number correctly, but the Frame, Frames, and point value are incorrect. It will always display Frame 1 no matter what frame it is on, and always says Point Value is 600. I have tried reinstalling but it hasn't helped. Has anyone had this problem / know how to fix it? Thanks a lot.

am I reading his name right?

Yeah...

Never seen that issue with EM3 before. I'd suggest just going back to an older version. If it ain't broke, dont fix it.

Yes, my handle is Urinal.....Long story. And no it doesn't involve me smelling bad. I also thought of going back to the old version, but I overwrote the directory and I couldn't find a previous version page on their website. Do you know of where to get 3.1.9?

How long are you leaving EM open? It has to stay open until a frame finishes to display estimates. It can be in the tray, but it has to be running to figure out updates.

If you can wait a few hours... i've got it saved on my puter at home.

little more info needed.........

are you monitoring a PC over at network? or on the local machine? Do you have any read/write restrictions on that F@H folder?

If you look in the F@H folder, under the work folder, are there any stray files (if your current WU is 00, then there shouldn't be an 09's or 02's).... if there are a few of those, EMIII will sometimes look at those files rather than the current WU.....

THANK YOU OSU!!!

There was a bunch of other crap in the directory, I cleared it out and now its working fine. Thanks so much. The thought didn't even cross my mind.

for some reason, F@H doesn't always get rid of those files.... sometimes because of an EARLY_END_UNIT, sometimes just because.....

Glad that everything is working now! :D

LPerry also regularly posts the most recent proteins file. I tried to check, but em-dc.com crashed Firefox. Repeatedly.

...

Ok, got IE up (shudder). Yeah, the latest protein data file (last updated Oct 19th) is on the download page, and may solve your problem. OSUguy is also correct about orphan files.

em-dc now has a little java counter. It took me a second to load.

Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment. You say $site makes firefox crash, I visit $site.

I've looked through a few threads and have yet to find an answer. I've also looked over the electron microscope site and not found an answer.

How do yo make Electron Microscope display your boxes in a list format, in order to get more then 2 boxes on the screen. As of now I have to scroll through the list for the 6 boxes I have folding.

Thanks.

Under the right of the EM logo, to the right of the "OK" button, there's a button with a list on it. (Left) click on that and select "N client view".

There's a button in the top right corner (at least in the HardOCP skin) that looks like a few pages laying ontop of one another.... it has a few options: 1,2,3,4,5,7,13 client view.....
the 13 client view shows 13 clients,etc..... if you have more than that, you'll have to scroll... just change it to whatever display you like best.... there's alot less info on the 13 client view, than on the 1 or 2 client view...... so depending on what you use EMIII to check, you may want to scroll.... I have mine set to the 7-client view, because I have 6 boxen at home to monitor and I basically just check to see if they're all running......
