I was recently using the Folding@Home Monitor utility to monitor 3 of my folding boxxen, but recently have began to like Electron Microscope much more.

The 3 boxxen are as follows.
1 - Windows XP machine that folds and EMIII is installed on.
2 - Windows XP machine that folds
3 - Gentoo Linux machine that folds.

I have machines 1 & 2 configured with EMIII, and they are being monitored just fine. I do not feel like setting up a Samba server on machine 3 to get EMIII working with it. I have FTP set up on it for when I used the old FAH Monitor program.

Does anyone know if you can add a machine via FTP to EMIII? Would love to know a way as Samba just isn't appealing as of yet. :p

How you would do it, I'm not sure...
You would have to simulate the two folders...
In the folder with the exe you really only need the work unit text file. (I don't read it, but I do use it for a trigger under certain conditions).
The queue.dat file...
And the config file.

Then, everything in the work folder needs to be transferred.

If you can do a local FTP, or something like it, that would work.
EM would respond when something changed.

SAMBA doesn't seem to give anyone issues that I'm aware of... that would be easiest. ;)
