Ok, so I was planning on doing a 'ghetto mod' by putting a usb hub from the back of my PC, in through a cut pci card slot cover to power two "dollar store flexible usb LED lights" inside the case. Unfortunately, I've found that the flexible metal housing on the LED light creates sparks when it comes in contact with the inside of my case. Thankfully my computer is fine, so I cut one open and this is what I find.
Ok, I have no idea what the exact specs for the LEDs are but I'm going on logic here.
USB power is +5v. I assume that's a resistor that makes this single led safe to run on a 5v usb power source (this is from the dollar store so it might not be true)
The question is, can I connect two or three of these to a molex on the +5v (red) in parallel?
