Electrical noise through speakers?

I have an extremely annoying electrical sound coming through my speakers or headphones weather muted or not. It also seems to happen most when I move my g5 mouse from side to side. Specs in sig, any ideas?

Try detach your speaker cable from all your other cables & your desk.

I think what he's trying to say is that you should re-route your speaker cables so they don't come in contact with other cables.

Yeah. Sorry if I wasn't clear the first time. What sharpie said...

Theres a lot of things that can cause the noise... Cable would be the first thing I would check.. since you said noise was apparent especially when moving your mouse - maybe cable was rubbing against speaker wire...
Else, I'd try onboard sound, or try drive it from a portable player. If it still makes noise, it's most likely your power source, or just bad speakers..
