Sorry about the title i dont know how else to put it.
I bought a rocker switch for my el wire but i dont know if i can use it or not. I have them on my cathoids but i hooked up the yellow and the red wires on them. The El wire only has Black and Red. What can i do?

should i just cut the red wire at a certain spot and hook one side to one part of the rocker and the other to the other part?

Yup, it's that simple :)

Just figure out where you are going to mount the switch (if you are going to mount it) and find the best spot along the wire to make the cut.

EDIT: Just to verify, the red and black wires you are talking about are coming from the PSU, and not from the inverter, right? Don't know if it makes any difference. Someone feel free to reply if it matters.

well the wires go from the molex connector to the psu to the inverter to the el wire, and its the part taht coneects the inverter to the psu. but it did come with the el wire so its not like a direct strand from the psu, i dont know if that matter or not. And is it possible to lengthen this wire for the switch, it is some what short.
