EL tape question...

if i were to get some EL tape..and use it for a back light, could i just "cut" it to the right size, or do i have to buy it premade to the correct size??? also can i get a deep, bright blue from an EL sheet? if not, can i get it from a LED?

yep, saw that, but of no use, thats for wire, im talking about a sheet of EL...
