EK Supreme HF easy mount -- extra washers?

Hi, I just installed an EK Supreme HF (version that comes with the easy mount hardware). I followed the instructions as best I could, but afterwards, I was left with 4 metal washers with no place to go. I got flashbacks to my IKEA failures and am very paranoid now. Does anyone know what these are for?

what type of board are you installing it on. on 1366 some come with a rubber back that you don't need as well. but it all depends on the board you installing on.
