Hi all,

I'm just about to order my new EK watercooling parts for my test bench with a Purple theme. I wanted to know if I should be concerned about mixing Mayhems Purple Dye with the EK Cyrofuel Clear Premix?

Was wondering if anyone has done that and has had any issues?

Thanks
Mike

I wouldn't mix those 2. I would go with either the Mayhems or the EK. One or the other. Dunno what bad chemical reaction will happen aside from eating the blocks away.

Purple sounds delicious!

We are in teh same boat.. I need purple as well.. the pastel turned out to be horrible.

I wouldn't mix because if the PH is off then the dye will fail anyway even if there isn't further damage.

This is what Mayhem writes about their dyes:

Warning

To keep the nonstaining abilty it must be mixed with Ultra Pure H20, Pastel Ice White, X1 clear or XT-1 clear only. Mixing Nonstaining dyes with any premixed coloured coolants will result in a staining product.

Mayhems non stain dyes contain a biocide that is compatible with Mayhems current range of products (X1, XT1, Pastel, Aurora). They have not been tested on any other manufactured fluids.
