Next week I am planning to buy Eizo S2433W but I wonder whether this display will manage FPS games like CSS . Currently I am working on Dell 2209WA and I really enjoy playing games on this screen . Would it be comparable to Eizo ?? I mean smudging/responsivness etc. ? Anyone could share their experience with Eizo S2433W and Games ??

In general i am going to buy 24'' monitor for home. Daily I spend ~8h in front of my screen. I am doin Photography retouch / flash / office work / surfing web / and games .

Any advice ?? Will I be satisfied with Eizo ?? Maybe some alternative ??

Regards

If you are doing photo the NEC PA series are much better than the Eizos. You should take a look at the PA241W.

Besides photo (mainly sRGB and Adobe RBG photos) I also play a games like Counter-Strike . Now I have Dell2209WA and I really like it in FPS games.. I wonder about Eizo & NECs Input Lag in comaprison to Dell 2209WA...

Well I don't have any trouble with the input lag on NEC displays. I have a 2690 which has 33ms of lag, the PA241W appears to have slightly less (30ms or so). I play shooties too, BC2 mostly in my case, and I do well: kill to death ratio over 1.0, an ace pin (best player on the server) about once per hour of play, a gold squad pin (best squad on the server) about 2.5 times per hour. I don't claim to be the best in the world or anything, but I have a hard time believing my monitor is holding me back.

Given the price the Eizo is going for, I'd seriously look at the NEC. I'm all kinds of happy with mine. Also the PA series allow you to adjust their gamut, and with their calibrator do so very accurately. So you can set them to sRGB or aRGB and they'll display that instead of the native gamut.

I also wonder about the Eizo a bit because it has a rather low contrast ratio for a PVA panel. Normally one of the reasons you get a PVA display is the high CR. They claim only 1000:1 which isn't that impressive. NEC claims the same on their PA displays, which are IPS.

For my money, IPS is the way to go, obviously since that's what I bought. I feel it gives the best image.
