Can anyone give me their impressions of the Eizo EV2436WFS? I'd like to know what owners think of the monitor and Eizo's quality control.

I just returned a Dell U2412m that I really liked, except for the fact that it had an awful yellow tint in all of its picture modes (this seems to be an issue with some recent batches). The Eizo EV2436WFS seems like a slightly better version of the U2412m without PWM. My only concern is I've never had an Eizo, and they don't have guarantees like a "zero bright pixels" that Dell offers.

I'm also considering the HP Z24i, but some users have reported quality issues with one of the two panel types being used.

Also - I will use this monitor primarily for Gaming followed by some programming and photo work. My previous screen is a Dell 2007WFP, so I'm pretty used to heavy AG coatings.

I got a EV2436W (says EV2436W on the label) at work a week ago that was manufactured 7 oct 2013 and it is really good. No blb or other defects. The ag coating is grainier than my BenQ BL2411PT but i would not say it's heavy so no sparklies. I am very pleased with it.

Thanks for the information. I've heard good things about it, the AG coating likely won't bother me as I'm used to a Dell 2007 WFP, which has lots is sparkles. A lighter coating is always nice, but its a lower priority. The only downside I see is that is expensive compared to other 24 inch monitors.

I can also recommend the BenQ BL2411PT. It's cheaper than the Eizo and seems to be of very high quality displaywise, personally i think it's even better than the Eizo but thats my own opinion. The stand however feels a bit clunky and is not quite up to Eizo's standard. Checkout the BenQ BL2411PT thread at http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1776113

Unfortunately it is harder to find in the USA. The Eizo I can get from various stores here. I would have gone with the HP Z24i, but there were some complaints in the Z24i thread about big uniformity issues with certain panels.
