eheim 1046 voltage converter

im trying to find out where i can get a converter so i can run my eheim 1046 off of a molex

There is no such thing that I know about made specifically for computers. I have seen 12 VDC to 120 VAC units at just about any car or electronics shop.

DC to AC changers are called "Inverters". Way more trouble that it's worth, IMHO. Either run house current to the pump or use a different pump.

...you'd be much better off just getting a switching PCI card. They run $15-20. Inverters are inefficient and get hot. The conversion kit is much more compact, and I'd seriously consider that if you're willing to spend the money, but otherwise something like a "Criticool Powerplant" (that's what mine was that I sold with my Eheim) will work just as well.

that criticool power plant is veryclose to what i saw and am looking for but the one i saw had a 4 pin molex on the pci card not one that goes outside, anyone?? whats a switching PCI card? i cant seem to find anything on it...

Criticool went out of business a few years ago which was why I didn't mention it to you. However, you might find a used one because a lot of people have since upgraded to 12v pumps.

im wondering if anyone has any idea where i can get the back part of the Innovatek Eheim HPPS Plus 12V Water Pump, wouldnt that fit onto the eheim 1046??
for some unknown reason i just want to get this eheim to work even tho i have a few ddc 3.2's and ddc plus's that i got for my shuttles...

wich is better? the ddc or the eheim??

Ask them to special order it for you. The Eheim design is utter reliability with silence. That should be a no-brainer as who wants to come home to a tank of dead fish.
