I'm in the process to configuring a new computer. Right now I'm kicking around the choices of Video cards. Such as Nvidia 7900GTX or 7950GX2, or an ATI 1900XT or 1900XTX. I want to have a system I can upgrade to a second video card. I've had a Nvidia SLI setup in the past, but I have never dealt with an ATI CrossFire setup. I want to make sure I cross all the T's and dot all the I's. The Power Supply that I plan on getting is the PC Power and Cooling Silcener 750W. My motherboard choice is undecided, but I tend to get ASUS boards.
 
If ASUS is your flovor of choice then the A8R32-MVP 3200 is the board for you. It supports crossfire and performs quite well with the new BIOS.

edit: I forgot to mention its SKT 939 so you can carry over your 4400x2 if your willing to wait a bit the RD600 chipset will also support crossfire and physics with 3 pci-E x16 slots.
I think its the intel SKT 775. I think it also will support ddr3. please correct me if i'm wrong.

I don't have my 4400x2 anymore, I sold that computer except for the SilverStone case. I'm building a new computer. I'm thinking about getting an Intel Duo Core 2 CPU. So would one of the Intel 975 Chipset boards work good with CrossFire?
 
I can help on that one. Was going to say, how we know AMD? :p I'm using the CFX3200 but i went with the Asus P5W DH Deluxe as i too am venturing to C2D. By your post, almost a no brainer on this board. Intel Bad Axe is an option but may not be as good an Oc'er. At least fewer tweaks being the gorilla themselves.. MSI? Well you said you like Asus and many herald that asus as the best 975X board around. Asus fan or not. MSI from what I gather is probably getting the second most pick me ups outside of Asus, and of course Intel though. There are not a whole lot of 975X boards for enthusiasts but that is what you want.

Biggest hurdle would be power but you are bringing the pain.

I thought the RD600 was going to be for the Core 2 Intel chips
 
isn't the C2D a 775 pin socket? I know the RD600 is a intel chipset i just dont really know what the C2D socket is.
 
Well, DFI has a pretty good track record for making good overclocking boards, and for $200, this is by no means overly expensive when compared to the other C2D supporting boards. This one is based on the 975X chipset, and supports Crossfire. The only real downside to this board is the same thing with all 975 based boards...ICH7 southbridge.
