Editing Mp3's?

i have an Mp3 that i want to edit and then send to my phone via bluetooth so i can use it as a ringtone. i tried editing it in garageband, but i can't get it in Mp3...help please?

I rather like QuickTime Pro, but it does cost $30.

Use Garage band to encode it to an AIFF, then drop it into your iTunes window.

After, make sure you have your "importing type" set to Mp3 (and whatever quality settings you like) in the iTunes control panel, and choose "convert selection to Mp3" under the advanced menu.

Works for me.

Prefer editing of Mp3 files using FlexiMusic Wave Editor.
