Edited pics wont work on digicams?

Hey there...
Why dont pictures that have been edited and saved as JPG work on Digital camera's?

I have just gotten a 32" LCD TV and it comes with a SD Card port, which can load pictures...

so i made 5 images of 1280x768 of the colors RED, BLUE, GREEN, WHITE and BLACK to check for dead pixels...

and it wont run?!!?

Now previously i had also taken some pics with my digi cam edited them on my pc... uploaded them back to my digi cam, and it wouldnt display it on the digicam. it just skipped through them...

Also in the manual of my TV it says:
"If the JPEG is modified using a PC, it will not be displayed on the TV"

I couldn't get my Nikon CoolPix 995 to show any PC-edited images at all. And it didn't play nice with JPEGs from other cameras, although it still displayed thumbnails of them...

Sorry, but I haven't managed to do it myself. Digital Cameras are very picky when it comes to their file structures...

I know its weird... but what is the actual explaination for this?

Im sure we can edit a pic on Photoshop to look like it was taken from a digicam!

When you edit photos it edits parts of the exif data which the camera will notice and not display the image.
