Edid override not working with Phoenix software?

I am trying to enable 4 4 4 on my hdtv. So I can get the pc resolutions and not the crappy HD/SD resolutions. The thing is, in the other 4 4 4 thread it says to run the phoenix software and extract the edid..but the thing is it is showing a blank edid...I can't extract anything.

Is there another way to do this other than the phoenix software? Or is the a way to get it to see the edid? I'm going blind. On my old i7 920 system I could see the edid through the phonenix software. I upgraded to a new Asus Z87-A and installed W7 64 fresh. Now I'm lost.

Anyone have a clue?

Hate to give up on this. Any other way to do the edid override without the phoenix software?

I'm grasping at straws. :(
