Ich schaffe es nicht mein L7S7A2 (1.1A) board von Elitegroup mit einem AMD Duron 800MHz und 100MHz Speicher zum Laufen zu bringen. Woran könnte es liegen?
Am Speicher? Wenn ja wie kann ich herausfinden, ob mein Speicher für das L7S7A2 (1.1A) geeignet ist?

My L7S7A2 (1.1A) board from Elitegroup won't work with an AMD Duron 800MHz and 100MHz Ram. What could it be?
The Ram? How can I find out, if my ram goes with the L7S7A2 (1.1A) board?

To run that processor you might need to move a jumper to 100 Mhz. Check the manual.

Almost every ECS manual has an approved list of memory modules to use...

With that said, I have the dirty redheaded half sister of that board the PCChips M848, same PCB with less goodies etc...

Mine loves Crucial ram made by Micron, the manual notes Micron ram for it...I've never had a memory problem on an ECS/PCChips/ or various clone with Micron ram...
 
No, zone_86 there is no jumper on the board to set the bus speed to 100 Mhz. The only thing in the manual about memory is that you need unbuffered DDR Ram.
It says something about DDR200 and DDR266, but it doesn't mention the CL factor.
I am not sure if the CL 2100 from Samsung are right for the board.

Well, MD_Willington, I can't find an approved list of memory modules in my manual.
Look at http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?DetailID=267&MenuID=24&LanID=4 - there are the specs for the board and a manual is there, too.

You have a redheaded half sister that has got a PCChips M848 mainboard?
I might look for some Micron Ram, thanks for the tip.
 
One of the few boards i have not touched or built with is the SIS 746-748 series. Though i do own an SIS 755 board. I thought it might have a jumper for that setting (older durons and memory). I would go with Wellingtons reccomendation on the Micron.
 
My Ram is
Samsung M3 68L1713CT1-CBO
128MB
unbuffered DDR SDRAM
PC2100 133MHz

and it schould work with my board, but it doesn't :(
 
Yes, I did.
It is working fine in other systems.
I run a testprogramm.
It can't be the ram itself.
But maybe it is not compatible to the ECS board.
 
Seems like the 800MHz CPU doesn't fit into the board.
The CPU list on the homepage of ECS was changed last month and there are no CPUs with a 200MHz bus on the list now.
