I am putting together a server machine that will be used to run a multi-threaded program. I used the following configuration:
SUPERMICRO MBD-X8DTL-iF-O Dual LGA 1366 Intel 5500 ATX Dual Intel Xeon 5500 and 5600 Series Server Motherboard

Intel Xeon X5650 Westmere 2.66GHz LGA 1366 95W Six-Core Server Processor BX80614X5650

The question I have is about ECC Unbuffered vs. ECC Registered memory. I have chosen either of the two, which one do you guys recommend?
Kingston 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM ECC Unbuffered DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Server Memory Model KVR1333D3E9SK3/12G

or
Kingston 24GB (3 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) ECC Registered Server Memory Model KVR1333D3D4R9SK3/24G

Will this machine work? Any recommendation?
Thanks.
