ECC Support on Celeron/Supermicro

I've noticed ECC is supported on this chip: http://ark.intel.com/products/71073/Intel-Celeron-Processor-G1620-2M-Cache-2_70-GHz

Has anyone tried using this with a Supermicro or other server oriented board? Or a desktop board supporting ECC?

I'm looked to use this for a FreeNAS update.

So long as the CPU and motherboard chipset support ECC and the motherboard is the correct socket you should be good to go. Just be careful as there are more than 1 type of ECC.

Some new commercial servers are coming with these 16XX series Celerons, like the Gen8 Microserver (I think Lenovo has one as well). If the board and the Ark support it, as Mystic says it should work fine.
