Will ecc registered memory work on a normal athlon 64 3200+, on a gigabyte k8n pro mo-bo?? kuz on newegg right now ecc registered memory is lower priced than non ecc. Which makes no sence kuz I would immagine that a higher end fx system's memory would be more expensive than a normal 64 system's memory, any thoughts?

Which ECC RAM is cheaper than non ECC on Newegg?

Also, you really shouldn't look at ECC unless you needed the error correcting features (mostly useful for servers and the RAM is required for some procs/mobos like Opteron/Socket 940 FX chips). It is slightly slower than nonparity RAM unless you get the very good stuff.

Anyways, I'm almost sure you can use ECC RAM in the Gigabyte K8N motherboard if you really wanted to.

o wait.... nvm i just read the wrong page.... DOUBLE DUMB ASS ON ME!!!!!! :p :( o well sorry about that :(
