I'm about to order parts for a build for a family friend and just want to make sure if an antec earthwatts 380 psu will be good enough to power:

i5 750 (no oc)
4gb ddr3
640gb aaks
8400gs
2-3 fans

I believe it should be no problem, right? Also, does this psu have the 8pin cpu socket? I can't seem to find any images of it...

Yes, it would be enough. If you're willing to deal with a rebate though, take a look at the Corsair CX400, which comes out to $5 cheaper than the Antec after rebate and has a bit more power output available: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139008

The Earthwatts 380 does not have an 8 pin CPU connector, only 4 pin. Someone else can comment whether that is enough for the i5.
