In some of today's previous updates, I've had 2 WUs for a total of 19 points, and 2 for 34 points...are these early end wus? Or something else wrong? If so, how can I figure out which boxes they are, because I've check mine already.

Run SuperPi or Prime95 on them.

If its not your boxes that are erroring, then you might wanna check out the boxes that you borged ;)

I had four on 1 machine that has run for three months no eue. I ran prime 95 and memtest and no errors. Back to folding.

Check fahlog.txt and look for EARLY_UNIT_END in it. Just for kicks and giggles, make sure the CPU heatsink is clear of dust. A few days ago there seemed to be a rash of EUE's going around, so it may not be anything to worry about.

 Same thing to me on 3 boxes, I had a 5,9,15 point WU's

Yeah I got an A64 3200 that keeps EUE'ing even though it passed memtest twice through and ran orthos for 8 hours with no problem. CPU temp never goes above 35C. I don't get it.

I had 2 EUE's on 2 separate machines that were crunching the same protein. 3038 to be exact. Got 176 points for one, and 10 for the other though

Not sure what the deal is with that.

It seems like there has been an increase in the number of EUEs associated with the 303x proteins.

Yes there has and I love Stanford’s explanation too.

Sometimes early end units are normal and expected.

I’d love an explanation for how such a Liberal University can justify the waste of so much electricity to accomplish nothing.
