Couldn't come up with a better thread title ;)

Okay, so I'm looking for some earbuds to use for working out. I'm looking for something durable enough to handle cold temperatures and hard exercise, but I want something that sounds good. I already have Etymotics ER-6i, but they are too fragile for this purpose. My budget is around $50, and I'm more interested in earbuds than canalphones, so let me know what you think. I haven't been following the earbud scene much, but I hear Sony makes some decent ones in this price range?
 
Odd.... I bought the ER6is just for the purpose you mentioned and I have never considered them to be to fragile. :p
I never had much luck with earbuds staying put... they always became more trouble then they were worth as such I would suggest that you check out the Koss KSC 35s or 75s if you are looking for a cheap alternative to your Etys.
 
I'm mostly worried about fraying the thin cords. I like to wrap the cord around my MP3 player when not in use, so I'm concerned about damaging them in my pocket.

While the KSC-35/75 seem perfected suitable, I can't get past how ugly they look. I really want something minimalist like earbuds if possible.
