EA Lands BIg.

unfortunatly, most of the time they don't because EA pushes games out the door before they're done. just look at how wretchedly buggy BF: vietnam was released.
I was referencing their sports games, sorry if this isnt clear. You cant deny all their sports games are polished

My biggest beef with Ea is, C&C Generals, and C&C Generals: Zero Hour. It worked for a while, and now it always ends with a error.

I will give EA credit though....they are the only ones making a halfway decent football and basketball game on the PC....I got both for 10 bucks each....can't beat that combo of quality and value! Nope, you can't.

My biggest beef....is that I really enjoyed the NFL2K series, and as I am a eye-candy whore...I believe that Sega takes EA behind the woodshed in that department, along with Xbox Live support and playability.

But like my fellow dweller in the armpit of America (Minnesota) says....we'll all have to just wait and see. But!....if EA comes close to making those concept Madden XboxNext movies, playable in-game graphics, I will probably shed a tear of joy!

EA is the closest thing to a monopoly in the gaming industry I can think of, (well, unless you include Microsoft).

In this industry, Microsoft isn't even close. Sony and EA are on the brink of owning the entire industry.

Oh yes you can. Madden is polished. Their NBA and NHL games leave a lot to be desired.

i hate this bitching "oh woe is me EA is going to buy out someone or take over this etc. etc."

EA does have some good games (BF1942?) anyways as far as sports games almost everyone thinks Madden is the best football game out there so who cares if they are the only NFL develpor? i dont

The thing is, everyone does not think Madden is the best. I can't stand it. The 2K series since 2003 has been better in almost every way. It's kind of funny that just when Sega starts to really put the hurt on EA, this happens...

Since it is apparent they are buying only the nfl licensing whats the difference? IMO their hockey games are the most fun out of any series I have played and I just dont like any NBA game at all

The NFL license is only the beginning. They will keep pushing until they have exclusive rights to all the brands if this works out.

That's the "difference".

I liked the Sega/Espn football games better. I been playing them since Dreamcast was out back it 99. Now theres no more new ones coming out. Really really sucks. EA has been stinkin it up in the last year and now they're doing this shit. Plus it looks like they're gonna try and take Ubisoft over. Hope to god that doesnt happen.

Imagine playing Far Cry 2 with the EA Games, Challenge Everything, hehehhehhehahhahahjahh

now, before i say what i'm about to say, let me first put in the disclaimer that i have the same view as most on here.

but really, if their games sucked that bad... wouldn't their games not sell? as such, they are so big b/c they do sell so well, so they must at least get something right. that being said, if you wanna make a statement, don't buy it. that says more than any kind of internet typing can.

don't like the game, get coding! those who bitch better be buying or you have no right. ea revolutionized sports games. saying otherwise is naive

they still suck though :D

EDIT: ea doing shit? quit talking out your ass. this thread is so void of fact

ah blow it out your ass....facts are over rated.

LOL j/k :D

So when do they change it to the NEAFL and the EAFL?

I'm willing to Bet the house that there eventually will be a group of Artists, Coders, Level Designers etc...etc... that will eventually realize how much they are being used and abused. This realization will certainly bring about a Gaming Union or Developers Union. If EA keeps going ahead and monopolizing, they will be able to cut salaries and extend hours beyond what they have now. It sounds drastic but Microsoft has had problems with IT Employees joining the CWA (Communication Workers of America) in Seattle. I think it is an eventuality for Gaming Developers also.
