I've got one of the Zalman Copper 120mm horizontal laydown coolers

I'm running OCCT and on realtemp I'm hitting 69c @ 1.34v 4.275mhz

seems really hot:(

Is there better cooling options out there???

I'm running that artic ceramic paste I took the hsf off and laid a very thin layer across it with a peice of plastic and cleaned it up and the temps are still @ 69c

The fan on the hsf runs at around 1900rpm

I cannot really remember the exact model number on the hsf
 
nope thats a good temp for OCCT.. real world full load temp your looking at about 55-60C.. so thats not bad at all..
 
thank you, i actually decided to compromise a little bit and I'm at 4037mhz @ 1.29 volts 10mins into OCCT right now highest temp reached is 58c not going to complain about 11c drop over 200mhz
 
if you want your real temps that you will usually see.. look for a normal program that will load up both cores.. but not something like p95/IBT/OCCT.. that will give you a better number for your temps.. something like running WCG(worldcommunitygrid.org) for about 10 minutes you will see what your real temps are.. w/ OCCT my be-2350@3.05ghz runs at about 59C, with WCG it sits about 47-48C.. theres other boinc projects you can test it with though.. same with my x2 6400+ OCCT it sits about 10C higher then WCG.. so i figure 8-10C difference is about the same for the majority of processors..

im not saying those benchmark programs are bad.. but they basicly just give you the worst case scenario temps you will see at full load.. the odds of you ever hitting those temps with normal programs are slim to none..
 
yeah, i played left4dead for an hour @ 4.27ghz and hit 47c so im pretty happy with either overclock now im just messing around trying to get the highest out of the lowest voltage
 
4.27ghz at 1.34v is pretty dang nice.. wish my amd processors would do that.. :( but i still refuse to buy intel.. and not because im an AMD fanboy or anything.. i just dont feel like spending another 400 dollars to build an intel system since i already own a crap load of amd systems..
 
yeah I was out of the computer loop for about 3 1/2 - 4 years and I came back and went out and bought all the new AMD stuff because AMD was the top dog when I last was into computers.. then I started reading more and more online and broke down and got an e6750 was very impressed so I guess I shall stick with intel... and I just went to my first intel chipset soo much better imo compared to my other 680i boards I've had


I run F@H pretty much same thing as WCG right ??
