what do you guys think about this new cpu? (i think i am going to buy one)
 
If you happen to OC, as what's been said (a lot) in the forums, the new duals are supposed to overclock reaaally (although I have no experience in that area). Other than that, more efficient than the current releases (E6600, etc) as it's a 45nm processor, so heat and power consumption is down some. (Hence, the overclockability)

I ordered it over the Q6600 because I mainly do games, and as said around here a lot, if you do games, you'll probably wanna stick with the duals, especially since this one's a 3.0Ghz, but if you're doing stuff like video editing or encoding, you'll probably wanna grab the quad.

I spent $224+s/h on the E8400, while the Q6600 was about $50 more.
