Just got an e8400 3.0 wolfdale core 2 duo and p5k/epu board

using a stock intel hsf from a previous generation 775 with the hefty copper core (not the crappy small ones that ship with the new core 2 duos)

whats the best place to start ?

Start with an easy one for that Wolfdale. Set your FSB:RAM ratio to 1:1. Then slide the FSB up to 400; and increase your Vcore to 1.30v (you can drop it down a bit after determining that you're stable at 1.30). then increase your MCH to 1.33; and your VIT to 1.13. Keep your RAM timings and voltage at default/manufacturer specs. This should give you an easy 3.6 Ghz OC. Remember that your optimum settings will very from mine.
