Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
e7500. there's about a 1-2fps difference between the e8400 vs e7500, which is not enough to warrant the price difference. more cache is always good, but for gaming, the GPU makes more of a difference than cache from CPU
Do you overclock? And by 1600MHz, you mean DDR3? There's no point in going with DDR3 since Core 2 CPUs don't benefit significantly from it. Nor do they benefit that much from higher memory speeds. Anyway, for purely gaming purposes, the E7500 will give you the best bang for the buck in most cases since the majority of games can't take advantage of more than two cores. Certain games like GTA4 and Supreme Commander will make use of a quad, but that's about it at the moment. And if you overclock your CPU, it'll be even better. You should be able to hit 3.8GHz or higher without too much trouble providing you have a decent motherboard.
