Is there a difference other than price?

Why does the E6700 cost more than the E6750?

Which would be the better buy?

the e6700 has a 1066 mhz FSB, e6750 has a 1333 mhz FSB, e6700 has a 10x multi, e6750 8x, e6700 is Bx stepping, e6750 is G0

the e6700 is more expensive because they have been EOLed, and as such their prices havent been dropped when the e6750 was launched

and except if you want die-hard OCing, in which case the 10x multi is a nice thing to have, the e6750 is unanimously the better buy

If you have a good 680i or a P35 board and Micron D9-based DDR2 RAM, the E6750 is a better choice for an overclock because while the E6700 will only get to 3.6-3.7Ghz, the E6750 will get to at least 4.0Ghz.

Pipe dreams, some E6750's will get that high. almost all will do 3.2 some more. Mines at 3.5 any higher and it's not stable. No 2 chips overclock the same.

In addition to what Kangg said about giving people guarantees in overclocking ( which is usually a bad idea to begin with ) I'm going to nitpick, not all the D9's are awesome. I believe it's D9GMH and D9GKX that are the two you should look for, not just anything starting with D9.

You can't get your E6750 above 3.5Ghz with a Tuniq Tower/Ultra 120?

Overclocking isn't completely temperature dependent..just so you know..
