After being an AMD fan for years, I have finally decided to give C2D a shot, and purchased an E6600, along with this motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188019&Tpk=680i+tr

Is that a good motherboard choice for overclocking the E6600?

If you have any tips for me, who is new to Intel overclocking, or that motherboard, please post them here. I am looking to get the most I possibly can out of the cpu.

sure, that board wil do fine.

my first tip would be to read up on it! undestand what you are doing, and proceed with small steps, the first one for a "true" oc would be to disable C1E support, enable multi, and disable spread spectrum, then raise the fsb 5 mgz at a time till its unstable, and lock the ram at a 1:1 ratio, if you can..... but like i said research is your best friend.

Im on a 680i also....with an E6600 @ 3.6 ...it's an EVGA 122-CK-NF68

here are my voltage setting

CPU Core = 1.45000
CPU FSB = 1.300
Memory = 2.175 4,4,4,12,1T)
SPP Volts = 1.500
MCP Volts = Auto
nVidia HT = 1.300

My FSB is 400 my multi is 9

I run linked and synced....
depending on your memory, you might need a divider, or more or less voltage
