My E6600 is overlocked to 3.4 GHZ and it runs the computer fine. Yet whenever i do the CPU test on 3dmark06, 3dmark06 just crashes out. Any ideas? The system sits on 34 idle/50 load

any ideas?

3Dmark isn't good for testing your cpu stability. Use Orthos ir Prime.

+1 postcount? what does that have to do with anything in this thread considering you arent the OP

i was referring to unclewebb's post that you do need to stress test the cpu to check for stability.. anyone's cpu could be at 3.4ghz ... but if it cant pass orthos for 4 hours straight then your cpu aint stable... just my input... since i am doing the oc database for conroes... users cant give me an entry unless they prove its stable first...
