Building myself a new system as a graduation present. Old fart gamer who finally went to school to finish a Bachelor's. Anway, I've been an avid AMD/DFI guy and want to check out the new Intels.

So far, I've decided on an E6600 and Asus P5B Deluxe. I'd like to OC around 3ghz.

I'd love your recommedations for memory, PSU and heatsink/fan. Flexible on the board if there are better options.

Thanks fellas!

I'm building a simular system except using the P5W DE Deluxe Asus board. I too have been using AMD since Socket A and this will be my first Intel in a LONG time.

From what I have read, if 3ghz is all you want then you should be ok using the stock HSF.

I bought this power supply: http://deadeyedata.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=95

And if you enter jonnyguru in the coupon box it gives you another 10% off. This is about $50.00 lower than the egg.

Here is the memory I bought for it which is kind of expensive but I like quality memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146565
