E6600: Are these idle temps normal?

My E6600 is running stock (2.4ghz), each core running at 32C idle in a 79F room. I built an identical rig for a friend and he's getting 28C idle at 75F.

I realize room temp figures into this, but still, seems like a pretty substantial difference.

Not sure if I should redo thermal paste or not.
 
Yes, room temperature matters.

Yes, that much.

Yes, it's fine.

You have a lot of options if you /must/ have it cooler, but assuming load temps in the mid to high 50's, C, you're fine.
