E6600
$230

E6750
$185

Could someone explain this price point anomaly? I'm fairly sure the E6750 is superior to the E6600 from a specifications standpoint, so why is the E6750 priced significantly lower than the E6600? Is consumer demand for the E6600 solely responsible for this?

I'm confused

E6750 all the way.
The E6600 still costs so much... Because... I don't know, they were so popular? Idiots are still buying them?

E6750 only has an 8x multi while the E6600 has 9x. Might be an issue for hardcore OC'ers.
E6750's also use G0 stepping.

I'd go for neither of them, and snag an E8400 instead.

E8400 wolfdale over either. It's cheaper than the e6600 and also has a 9x multi and 45nm and another 2MB cache. No reason to buy a conroe anymore.
