holy crap, please pardon the 3 posts of this! lol, the page was frozen and I hit submit a few times, then I got a database error message, and now there are 3 posts. sorry about that.

I'm building a MATX system, and I'm stuck between buying the intel e6550 or the 6750. the 6550 is about 20 bucks cheaper, which isn't really that much so I might just get the 6750 anyway since it is better. however, I'm on a budget, so it would be nice to save a bit of money. I was thinking I could get the 6550 and just OC it a little, then spend that extra money on a good heatsink. does anyone think that I'd really miss out on some speed if I didn't get the 6750? I'm not gaming, but I am using adobe cs3 programs heavily, and I rip and burn a lot of dvds. so I need good multi tasking. thanks for the help :D

so far:
gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L
e6550 or e6750
a-data 4gb pc6400
lian li pc-v350
and I'm using my old 7800gt
