So I've got mine e6400 stable at 3.2ghz for a while now, but I got some new ram in and was thinking about pushing it a little higher. Anyone ever do this? I think I might be pushing my luck here as 2.13 -> 3.2ghz seems like quite the oc already.

All you can really do is try... worst case. You find out you had the max stable of any way...

The only down side to it is if you have some weird config trick going or maybe add just a tad to much voltage and you don't get it just right trying to get back to 3.2 and end up only being stable at 3.0... it happens... but like I said... you wont know unless you try.

My E6400 has been stable at 3.2 GHz for quite a while but I couldn't get a stable OC above that. I think this might be due to my RAM, but didn't sweat it for the very reason you mentioned: 2.13 to 3.2 is already a pretty healthy OC. A google search will show you that people have gotten above 3.2 with the E6400, but it all depends on the particular chip and, of course, the rest of the hardware involved.

As long as you are careful and have adequate cooling, it can't hurt to try.
