I just got my new equipment installed tonight (P5N-E SLI, E6320 using stock cooler for now, 2 GB Gskill, X1950) and had a question.
I had read that speedfan isn't the most accurate temp program when it comes to Core2's and that I am supposed to use Coretemp instead.
Well, Coretemp is giving me temps at idle right now of 15C and 18C for core0 and 1 respectively.
Running Prime95 for a while here, It seems to be topping out at 28C, 30C respectively.
Now, I have good case cooling and a fairly cool house right now... but are these temps even possible? especially on a stock intel HSF
