E6300 Linux Build - Help Please

I want to build a E6300 with a 7600GT for a Linux w/XGL machine. I dont know much about Intel, being an AMD4LIFE man.. LOL.. but hey I willing to give Intel a try for Linux w/XGL and Cedega..

So I am in need of assistance please.

I want to get the E6300 and do some light overclocking, maybe 2.5Ghz at most probably less... So I need help choosing a mobo and ram for this build. Suggestions? Comments?

I would suggest not getting the ASUS P5W DH. My LAN ports stop working after a few minutes in FC5, Ubuntu 6.06 and SuSe 10.1.

What he suggested, also the 6300's with decent cooling will hit 3.0Ghz Easily.

what is a decent cooling solution (air of course) for a 6300? again I know nothing really about building an Intel machine.

I'd switch the RAM out for Corsair XMS 1Gb kit DDR2 800 for 104 also on newegg. If you insist on a 7600GT, i'd get the evga KO version since the KO has the heatsink covering the RAM as well as the core. but other than that, you look good to go
