Hi Everyone , i have just bought the E6300 with a Sharkoon Twister.

It was a last minute alteration on a order and I changed it from a 945D to a E6300, the reason for this was the wait. The E6300 was in stock whilst the 945D i had to still wait.

Anyway is there anyone who also bought one of these and share what they got for overclocking with one of these.

Also i have bought a sharkoon twister and i wanted to know what its like on performance and also will it be ok with the E6300? Will it to the job for when it comes to overclocking?

Thankyou for reading this and also taking part. :) Have a nice day

If this Twister is as good as or is better than the stock heatsink you should be fine. I don't
have any E6300 OC data in the database yet but you might be one of the first entries. You
may find the thread at the top of this Intel section.

The boxed HSF is the one you get with the pentium D retail and i think its definately better than that. It is all copper too so it does have an advantage.

I have bought an OEM version cos that is all i could find and thats what made me buy the sharkoon twister cos thats what they had in stock and other HSFs i had to wait for.Waited long enough for the order as it was.

Just hope it overclocks to 2.6ghz , this is my nephews and i am just making it for him.I am waiting for a E6600 :)

From the data in the database it looks like most get at least an extra 1,000MHz using some
third party air cooling with Conroe.

I was going to use a stock petium d cooler but i might as well use the sharkoon i have bought .

I thought i could give it back and get £20 back ;) but i will make the most of it now.

Easily. Haven't seen many reviews where 3Ghz+ wasn't almost a sure thing.

If u are using Stocked cooler remember to use Artic Silver 5 it really makes a difference on stocked cooler. Check the Temps here

Did I miss where you picked this up from too? Sorry for the repetive questions...

You did the right thing. Buying the 945 would have been foolish as hell.

Try this.
