Well I currently have an E6300 bought around 4 months ago, Ive kept it unoverclocked and my stock load temps are around 50, with idling at around 40 (celcius). I recently purchased an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro and it should be here within a few days, what should I be able to overclock this to? I realize that its hard to guess but give me a rough estimate. I think I have the batch of e6300's that everyone say are "amazing for overclocking" -guessing tho

It's all in a Coolermaster Centurion 5 case - 2x 120mm fans + Gigabyte 965P-DS3

With your ram at 2.1 to 2.2 volts I think your combo should do 450 MHz x 7 = 3150 MHz without too much effort. Hell, you can do that with the stock cooler so don't wait for your Arctic Freezer. Get clocking! :D

With a room temp of 21C I'm at 3400 MHz with the Intel OEM cooler and never have a problem. MHz doesn't add nearly as much heat as adding voltage. A revision B2 E6300, as reported by CPUz, should be able to reliably run 3150 MHz at the default of 1.325 to 1.350 volts.
