e6300 and e6600 difference at the same clock

there are tons of conroe reviews out there...

does anyone know whether there is one that sets e6300 or e6400 at the same clock at e6600 to compare the performance difference?
 
The average performance difference is 3.5% with a high of 10% and a low of 0%. The E6600 is 40% more expensive for a 3.5% difference at the same clock. Unless you are buying the E6600 for the extra multiplier (highly doubt it's worth $100), you'd have to be stupid to pay $100 for a fraction of a FPS more.

yea, i agree it's not worth the jump from e6300 to e6600 since e6300 also overclocks like mad.
 
Same here, bought E6300 with MSI 975X. I am going to crap the hell overclock out of it. :D
 
i agree, e6300 is the way to go. I feel sorry for those suckers who bought a e6600; half of them can't overclock higher than a overclocked e6300
 
I'd only go E6600 if you do a lot of video/audio encoding or 3D rendering, that is where the extra cache really shines.

well, according to the anandtech review, you'll be paying 50% more to get the extra cache for 10% increase in performance....doesn't sound like a good deal to me
