Hi guys.
Im buying a new computer which I wanna throw some gaming in there too. I already bought a 2600xt ati video card and good 2 gig ram. Still deciding which motherboard and cpu to get. Noticing that the AM2 motherboards are almost half in price as the Intel really attracts me and the price range the e4400 is same as the x2 5000. So out of the box the AMD is really top of list right now. Just wondering what are your thoughts on the overclocing sector for these 2?
Should i save the money and get the 5000 which will overclock just fine anyway?

Just want to make sure before I spend, since im reading alot of good info on this forum and looks like you people know alot.

thanks

The e4400 will blow the doors off the X2-5000 when overclocked. My measly e4300 is sitting at 3.2GHz right now, and that's bottom of the barrel.

But the 5000 is clocked at 2.6 already and dont think it can just as easy be clocked to 3.2?
What im seeing is the cost CDN prices

AMD
motherboard: 70 dollers
cpu: 140 dollers

INTEL
motherbaord: 130 dollers
cpu: 140 dollers

Now the only way going the intel route is unless you overclock it unless your a moron. But with that extra money you spend on the motherboard you can just as easy buy a even faster amd cpu and dont have to worry about overclocking it. Hell I can go for a cheap 100 dollers AMD cpu which runs at 2.2 ghz and will do everything i need it to do.
