e4300 voltages

I just got my e4300 today and installed it in my ASUS P5PE-VM
at idle the voltage according to both Sandra and Speedfan are at 1.23-1.24 Vcore

However when I put the cpu's under load IE encoding dvd's to DIVX the Vcore jumps to 1.36-1.37. Intel says a maximum of 1.325 Vcore for this chip. Is the sensor Winbond
83627EFH accurate? The system seems to be rock stable after 8 hours. I ran 3dmark prime 95 etc. without crashing. Should I be concerned or is this in a normal range?

1.36 to 1.37 is a good voltage and is usually good for overclocking up to 3000 MHz, if your board and memory are willing.

The big drop in voltage at idle might be because SpeedStep ( EIST ) is enabled.
 
Did you set the voltage to auto ? If yes, try to set 1.325v manually and see if it stop fluctuating. But it looks ok for me anyway since mine is running 24/7 at 1.4875v ;)
 
I can't find any settings for voltage in the bios, I did find a multplier option, is the multiplier unlocked on e4300s? If so would I have a chance of overclocking this chip without screwing up my hds etc?
 
yes and no
your stock multiplier is 9 and you can change it (down) to 7 or 8 but not higher.

If you cannot change your FSB in your bios then you are going to have to do the 1066 strap mod which will OC it to 2.4GHz (9x266)

Do this at your own risk and research what you are doing before you do anything.

Your E4300 should be able to do this even with stock vcore anyway. Mine is at 3.1GHz with basically stock volts.

EDIT: forgot to mention your RAM is 400 so it may become an issue if you cannot change the multiplier in your bios.
