Alright so I have my e4300 on a gigabyte 965 ds3 rev 1.3 and I am getting crazy temperature readings across the board. Using intel's thermal analysis tool I get around 70 degree's C load!!! on the exact same H20 cooling kit that kept my 805d @3.8 with huge voltage under 50degrees.

I am currently @3.2ghz @1.4 volts. I have reseated the block about 100 times, I even cleaned the tubes because I thought it was clogged. The radiator and the block are lukewarm to the touch at best, not 70 degrees hot!

I am thinking it is either a funky motherboard temperature reporting error, but I thought intel's thermal monitor was built into the chip? Can it still be reported wrong?

Any ideas? I'm 100% stable despite these insane temps....but how can this thing be putting out more heat than an 805d @1.6 volts!

Don't use TAT for temps...it was not designed for desktop cpu's and may or may not be correct.

With an E4300 I think you will need to use Coretemp .95 or Speedfan 4.32

there is a big thread about this issue (temp reporting) called "C2D Temps Revisited" which will give you all the info you need to get correct temp readings. Here: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1174781

Thanks Rapture, that thread cleared it up.....I have one of the 100 degree C Tjunction e4300's....meaning every reading I see is inflated 15 degree's C! I knew something was fishy!

Like i said earlier I knew things were OK just do to the fact that I didn't feel any heat coming off my computer, and I reseated like 100 times so I knew I had a good fit.
