Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Sorry for a new thread. Before I attempt to remount my heatsink I was just curious as to what my idle temps should be at with the processor at stock speed?
CoreTemp 0.95 locks my system and gives me a bsod. CoreTemp 0.94 is reporting idle at 31C and after after running Orthos for 10 minutes at 46C. Is this good?
For your processor you need to add 15 to CoreTemp 0.94 numbers to get the equivalent in CoreTemp 0.95.
Your real numbers are fine :
Idle: 31C + 15C = 46C
Load: 46C + 15C = 61C
If you plan to overclock and will be upping the voltage then look into getting a better cooler but your present system is good for at least 3000 MHz with a few minor adjustments and you should be stable with default core voltage of 1.325 volts.
