I just got an e2180 + Gigabyte P35. The e2180 is "F" stepping and "M0" revision I think, are these any good?

Cooling really shouldn't be a problem because I have a CM 590 with a bunch of Yate Loons and i'm probably going to pick up a xigmatek 120mm CPU cooler from the egg later this week.

Is my steping/revision good for OCing?

How far should I be able to get with this?

All E2180 are "M0", Mine running at 10x320mhz with Gigabyte P35-DS3R, vcore at bios 1.5v actual 1.44v, this motherboard has a vdrop of about .05v...cooling is Kingwin RVT-9225 Direct Touch 3 Heatpipe Heatsink. 65C full load overnight prime. Btw, can do 10x300mhz at default voltage, didn't try anything higher than 10x320mhz.
 
Chip runs cool as ice even with the stock cooler. Can't imagine how awesome it is under the Xigmatek.
 
I got this chip yesterday, running it on a P5K motherboard. I've used it all day at 320 x 10 (stock cooler, voltage: 1.475) and it hasn't crashed yet. However, I get very high temps when both cores are at full load (up to about 80 C in coretemp, and Tjunction is 85 C). During "normal" use (gaming etc) it doesn't get above 70 C. Idle temp is about 44 C (room temp about 25 C).

I'm thinking of getting a better cooler, but the Xigmatek costs almost as much as the CPU itself! Not sure if it is worth the investment, even though I might be able to gain a few hundred MHz and a few months of CPU life. I also have an E6600 stock cooler which is a bit bigger than the one that came with the E2180, but it didn''t seem to contact the CPU properly (the load temp quickly rose >85 C, causing the CPU to throttle).

Still, I really like this CPU. Noticeable improvement from my Opteron 170 @ 2.7 GHz.
 
Using this on ABIT IP35-E motherboard, overclocked to 2.56ghz (320x8) on stock voltage. Idle temp is 23C and load is 43C, using AFP7.

Actually my CPU cost me like $70 on newegg, the Xigmatek cooler cost me $36 (free shipping).

Right now i'm working on 3.2ghz and i'm at 1.4v in CPUZ and 20c load, 55c max.
 
I live in Norway, and prices are a bit higher here. Including shipping, the Xigmatek would cost more than I paid for the CPU. I might try the E6600 cooler again though, to see if I can get a tighter fit (and lower temps) this time.
