E2180 Overclock Issues

Alright, so I got a new HTPC setup (e2180, gigabyte p35-ds3l, ATi 3850, 2gb Crucial Ballistix cl4) and I'm having decent luck overclocking (currently @ 3.0GHz, which isn't bad) however I seem to be running into some stability issues and weird voltage readings...

I have the latest BIOS flashed and everything runs perfectly fine (testing Orthos blend right now for 4 hours, going for 10) however the voltage readings in the BIOS and latest Everest are very weird (they both match, I am not doubting their readings in any way)...

I'm getting:
Vcore: 1.48 (though it's set to 1.55 in the BIOS)
Vdimm: 2.21 (though set to +.6 in BIOS, (which should be around 2.4))
12V: 12.52
5V: 5.32
3.3V: 3.44

My temps are perfectly fine for Orthos (52'C CPU w/ Scythe Minja, 35'C mobo.) My problem is I don't want some spike to happen and my new $800 setup becomes a $0 setup... My main idea of a culprit is the PSU, which is a Ultra X-Finity 500-Watt POS but I don't really know for sure...

Any suggestions? I don't have any other PSUs that are idle to test with, or money to buy a new one right now for that matter... What do you guys think is the issue here?

Is your concern that the voltages aren't what you have set? It isn't unusual for actual voltages to droop a bit from what is set in the BIOS - maybe not as much as you are seeing, though.

That seems like kind of a lot of voltage for that chip and that overclock - isn't default like 1.325 or something? What kind of o/c could you get at default voltage?

My issue isn't the voltages, I know both my HSF and Proc can take them, and on stock voltage I can get around 2.7GHz... but it's not as stable as I want it to be at stock (fails Orthos once in a while). As for the volt/performance ratio, it's not that bad of an increase as it's running 150% of its rated spec. I can reduce the Vcore around .05V and be fine I'm sure, but for now I'm just trying to find the sweet spot for it. The extra voltage in the Vcore is basically just a buffer for now, I'll figure out the voltage sweet spot after I find where my walls are.

I know all about Vdroop, but this is far in excess of any droop I've ever seen, not to mention the fact that my 12v, 5v, and 3v rails are way off...

I just wanted to know if anyone thinks this is just some false readings, or maybe really bad vDroop from the mobo, or (my guess) an inconsistent PSU...

check your BIOS for an anti v droop function.

wow that kinda sucks... my Asus P5K-E lets me up the FSB from 200 to 300 with all stock voltages, and RAM timings at 4-4-4-15, and default RAM voltage.

You'll never know unless you measure the voltage rails with a meter.
