I am interested in purchasing the Intel e2160. I have read that the M0 stepping is better for overclocking (runs cooler, etc.). I am looking to OC mine to 3.0ghz on stock cooling (and wishfully stock voltage). ClubIT is out of e2160s with MO stepping at the moment. Should I wait for them to come in stock, or take a gamble elsewhere? How big is the difference between L2 and M0 on this chip for overclocking? Thanks in advance.

I ordered a 2160 from newegg, L2 stepping and it can easily run 3.0 stock volts. When i was messing around ocing, i forgot to change the multiplier from 9 to 8 and it actually booted to windows at about 3.5ghz. I ended up settling at 3.2 at slightly over stock voltage.

I have no clue on the difference between M0 and L2, from what iv seen with the L2's is its kinda luck of the draw, but most will overclock well.

Thanks nigerian_businessman. Now I seem to have two opinions. Does anyone else have any experience/idea of how great the benefit of MO stepping is? My goal is to reach 3.0ghz at stock voltage with stock HSF.
