I just got an e-mail from a friend that bodes well for multi core folding;) he's an oem dealer so i hope he has good info:D

I've been informed that Intel will have a price drop on Core 2 Duo Processors effective 4-22-07. Price drops will range from 11 to 40% depending on models

yes price cuts are coming on the 22nd. Also look for quad core cuts.

Check the Intel Processors sub-forum for additional details--people over there have been kicking the numbers around for weeks. Also, don't get confused about 2nd quarter numbers vs. 3rd quarter numbers.... some people were all set to drop $250 (or something close to that) for a quad-core processor, but that won't be the OEM 1000-unit bulk purchase price (for distributors) until the THIRD quarter. :)

well if quad cores don't come down far enough i'll just buy another dual core or 2 and then replace those with quads when they come out then build more machines around the duals i just replaced:D
