ok all my fellow [H]ers i think one of my e-GeForce 8800 gs's burned out. i can no longer enable sli and it is not being detected under device manager.

so here is the question.

will i be able to send it in to get another because this one burned up?
am i being retarded and just overlooking some simple problem? :D

It's possible it died... try re-seating it, and if that doesn't help, try switching the card you believe is broken to the main slot, and run it on it's own.

8800GS was a limited SKU AFAIK and I doubt any OEMs have something to replace it with.. they'll probably give you some other newer card in it's stead, and then you can't run SLI :(

well if i do get a diff card then i can always just sell my current 8800gs to a friend o mine who need a new card bad. and use the money to buy a second

what do you think the chances of getting a replacement new card are?
