I have a lian li v2000b and these cases are notorious for developing rattling from the side door panels.

I want to put some dynamat extreme in it, but boy is this stuff expensive! Before I spend some money on this stuff, I need to feel good about it :)

Anyone using it in their PCs and if so, can you vouch for it? I know it's been used before, but if I have extra left over, I might just put it on a bunch of stuff- case, psu, hd, water pump, etc.. (once it's on, it's on for good)

I had it in an old case i had before my current one. I got a huge discount like 55% off with employee discount , if it's really bad i would say yes use it if you can't afford it then get that foam stuff

It doesn't really do much for the acoustic properties of your case...

If you're worried about rattling, use sticky tack to secure the window, and the side panels...

If you are just trying to kill rattles I'd pick up this.

It has an adhesive on just one side and is super easy to cut to size. It comes is several sizes depending on how thick you want it but frankly the 1/4" is plenty thick for case duty. I use this stuff all the time to stop car rear decks from rattling when people have toys that go boom in the trunk.

Best part is it's dirt cheap and you get a lifetime supply with 1 roll! :)

Hey man, can you post the name of that stuff? The link doesn't seem to be working, and I'm interested in what it may be, in case I'm ever in need of something of the sort in the future, haha. Thanks.

Hmm sorry about that.

It's SKU 617288

MD Building Products 1/4 In. x 1/2 In. x 17 Ft. Gray High Density Foam Weatherstrip Tape

Just a quick note that, at least in car audio, several dynamat competitor products lose their adhesive qualities in the summer, after the car has been cooking in a parking lot for a few days. You can find lots of horror stories about black goo dripping from the interior roof where people insulated, etc.

I note that because PCs tend to run warm :)
